Hans Heijnen’s documentary ‘Achter de Brug’ has its première on December 23th. It will be on TV on the 25th ánd 26th of December 2012.

The film portraits the first inhabitants of the Noord-Oostpolder. Sea that was turned into land in 1942, mostly by hand. The people in the polder live in the shadow of the Ketelbrug; a bridge famous for leading its own life. The bridge is a symbol for the unstable relationship they have with the mainland. It brought them the new and the fast, but the tranquility of the polder most certainly has its charm too…
